Looking for the Best Holster for My Springfield XD-M Elite 10mm

I’m on the hunt for a holster that fits my Springfield XD-M Elite 10mm perfectly. I’ve been doing some research, but I’m hoping to gather insights from those who have experience with this specific firearm. Here are a few things I have in mind:

Key Features I’m Looking For:

  • Security: I want to ensure that the holster keeps my firearm secure while allowing for quick access when needed.
  • Comfort: Since I might be carrying it for extended periods, comfort is a must. Any recommendations for holsters that don’t dig into the body?
  • Concealment: Ideally, I’d like something that does well for concealed carry – I don’t want to draw attention while out and about.
  • Durability: I need a holster that can withstand some wear and tear, especially if I’m using it outdoors or at the range.

Activity Suitability:

  • Daily Carry: I’m planning to use it primarily for daily carry, so I’m particularly interested in options that are good for that.
  • Range Days: I also want a holster that’s easy to use at the range during practice sessions.
  • Outdoor Adventures: If anyone has experience with holsters that are practical for hiking or outdoor use, that would be great to know too.

What I’ve Considered So Far:

I’ve come across a few brands like Alien Gear and Blackhawk, but I’m not entirely sold yet. If anyone has hands-on experience with specific models or brands that work well with the XD-M Elite 10mm, please share your thoughts!

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

I’m also looking for the best holster for my XD-M Elite 10mm! I’ve heard great things about OWB holsters for their comfort and accessibility. Anyone have specific recommendations?

I second that! I use an OWB holster for my 9mm, and it’s super comfortable. I recommend the Blackhawk Serpa - it has great retention and fits snugly!

I’ve been considering an IWB option since I want something more discreet. Anyone had luck with that type for the XD-M Elite?

Yes! I have a CrossBreed SuperTuck for my XD and love it. It’s comfortable for all-day wear and hides really well under a t-shirt!

I’ve tried both IWB and OWB, and honestly, it depends on the situation. For range days, I prefer OWB, but for everyday carry, IWB is my go-to.

If you’re going for a drop-leg holster, I recommend the Tactical Tailor model. It’s great for outdoor activities but can be cumbersome for daily wear. Worth considering if you spend time in the field!

I prefer a retention holster for my XD-M Elite, especially in active situations. The Safariland 7TS is awesome—it’s durable and keeps the firearm secure until you need it.

That sounds interesting! Is it hard to draw from, or does it feel smooth?

It’s really smooth! I’ve never had issues drawing it quickly. But, as with any holster, practice is key. Just make sure to get completely comfortable with it.

Does anyone find it hard to find a holster that balances retention and comfort? I’m really struggling to narrow it down between all these opinions!

That’s the eternal struggle! I found that the more I experimented, the better fit I found. Maybe consider visiting a local store to try them on?

On the lighter side, with so many holsters out there, I sometimes think about starting a holster fashion show… who’s in?

Count me in, but only if I can wear my hidden tactical fanny pack too! :joy:

Haha! I would definitely watch that! But on a serious note, I’d stick with recommendations that suit each person’s needs. Comfort matters in all settings.

Hey everyone! I’m in the market for a holster for my Springfield XD-M Elite 10mm. Comfort is key for me, especially for daily carry. Any recommendations?

Have you thought about materials? Kydex is a great choice if you’re looking for something durable and easy to clean. Leather can be very comfortable too, but it takes some time to break in.

I agree with angela72! When I switched to a kydex holster, it made a huge difference in weight distribution while carrying. Highly recommend trying it out!

For everyday carry, a hybrid holster might be best. The combination of leather and Kydex gives you comfort and stability while keeping it lightweight.

I’ve used a hybrid holster as well! It’s the best of both worlds. Are there any brands you’ve had a good experience with?
