I’ve recently been considering the practicality of pocket carrying my Sig Sauer P365. The compact size of this handgun makes it appealing for concealed carry, but I’m curious about how it actually performs in a pocket carry situation.
Here are some aspects I’m particularly interested in:
Comfort and Accessibility
How comfortable is it to carry the P365 in your pocket?
I’ve heard mixed reviews about how it feels after a few hours of wear.
Do you find it easy to access the gun quickly when you need it?
Holster Recommendations
What type of holster do you use for pocket carry?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on holsters specifically designed for pocket carry.
Any brands or models you swear by?
Clothing Considerations
What type of clothing do you find works best for pocket carrying?
I’m concerned about the printing and how noticeable it might be.
Do you have any favorite pants or jackets that offer better concealment while being practical?
Experience and Safety
Do you have any personal experiences or stories regarding pocket carrying the P365?
I’d value any insights on the pros and cons you’ve encountered.
Comparison to Other Firearms
How does the P365 compare to other firearms you’ve pocket carried?
If you’ve carried other guns in your pocket, how does the P365 stack up in terms of comfort, ease of access, and overall effectiveness?
I’m eager to hear your advice and experiences. I want to make sure I’m making an informed decision about carrying my P365 in my pocket safely and effectively. Looking forward to your insights!
I carry my Sig P365 in my front pocket often. A good pocket holster is essential for safety and to keep it secure. I recommend something with a bit of rigidity, so it doesn’t collapse when drawing.
I’ve found that wearing slightly looser pants helps with concealment and comfort. The grip should be well concealed, so try to avoid skinny jeans if you can.
You might also consider adjusting your carry position. Sometimes, sitting can shift the gun in the pocket, so practicing draw from different positions is important.
I’ve been carrying a Sig P365 in my pocket for a while now. I highly recommend looking into pocket holsters made from Kydex. They offer good retention and keep the trigger covered, which is a must for safety.
I’ve had a different experience with leather holsters. They’re comfortable and mold to your body, but they can wear over time. Just make sure to check the fit frequently!
Kydex is solid, but they can be a bit bulky depending on the design. I personally carry with a neoprene holster—it’s soft and flexible, which makes it comfortable to wear all day.
Retention is decent, but I still recommend a holster with some form of trigger guard protection. I sometimes use a hybrid holster that combines leather and Kydex for the best of both worlds.
I had a hybrid for a while, but I found it too bulky for pocket carry. It might work better for bigger pockets. Keep in mind the clothing and pocket depth plays a huge role too!
It’s crucial to practice drawing! I’ve tried a few with varying success—some offer great retention but are a pain to draw from quickly, which defeats pocket carry’s purpose if you ask me!
