For home defense, I’d recommend practicing at 10 to 20 yards. 00 typically covers that range well while still packing a punch. I’m curious though, has anyone ever chronographed these loads?

To add to that, 00 buckshot averages around 1,200 fps, whereas 000 can reach higher speeds. Speed matters, but so does the shot size and placement. What’s the ideal philosophy here?
