I’m diving into reloading for my .350 Legend and could really use some insights from seasoned reloaders. Here are a few specific questions I have:
Bullet Choices
What bullet types do you prefer? I’ve seen options in .357 and .358 diameters. Is one better than the other for certain applications?
Do you recommend any specific brands or styles (like hollow points or soft points)?
Reloading Techniques
What are some tips you’ve learned along the way? Any particular techniques that work best for this caliber?
Are there any common mistakes to avoid when reloading .350 Legend?
Performance and Costs
How have your reloads performed in the field? Any experiences to share would be great!
What does the cost look like compared to factory rounds?
I’m looking to enhance my reloading process, and any advice or personal experiences would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ve been using Speer 170 grain flat point bullets for my .350 Legend reloads. They’ve been accurate and perform well on whitetails. Anyone else had success with them?
I love those! I’ve been using the Hornady 170 grain FTX, and they’ve been excellent for deer hunting. Great expansion!
I’ve just started loading the .350 Legend and am curious about heaviest bullet weights. Has anyone tried 200 grain bullets? How did they perform?

Yes, I tried 200 grain Cast Performance bullets. They shoot well but can be a bit more challenging to load. Definitely worth trying if you’re comfortable with reloading!
I’m using Barnes 175 grain TTSX bullets. They are super reliable, and the performance is just amazing! Good for both accuracy and expansion.
Barnes are top-notch! I also like the polymer tip design on those – it really enhances performance on game.

What about the shape of the bullets? Are flat points generally better for hunting under 200 yards?
Absolutely! Flat points or hollow points usually give better expansion at short ranges. Plus, they feed well in most magazines.

I’m curious, too! I’ve been told that round noses can be finicky in my rifle. What’s the consensus?

Round noses can be hit or miss, mainly depends on your rifle’s chambering. I’d stick with flat or hollow points.

I’ve found the Nosler AccuBond to be really effective too. They hold up in the toughest conditions and have great ballistics!
I’ve read good things about those! How do they compare in price to the Hornady bullets?
They are a bit pricier, but considering the performance, I think it’s worth it for serious hunters. Anyone else feel this way?

I get what you mean! Reloading is all about performance and value—just got to make sure you hit the sweet spot in your loads.
Great insights here everyone! I’ll need to do some more research and try out some of these suggestions. Reloading is a fun process!

I’m new to .350 Legend reloading too! I’ve heard that Hornady’s 180 grain FTX is great for deer hunting. What do you all think?
Absolutely! I’ve used them for hunting and they perform really well. How about powder recommendations? I’m considering Accurate 4100.
Accurate 4100 is solid, but I’ve had success with Hodgdon CFE BLK too. It burns clean and offers great velocity.
Good to know! Do you find it consistent across different bullet weights?
