Looking for Feedback on Remington 700 AAC SD 6.5 Creedmoor
I’ve been considering adding the Remington 700 AAC SD chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor to my collection, but I wanted to gather some feedback from those who have experience with it.
Key Points I’m Interested In:
Performance: How does it perform in terms of accuracy and recoil? Any notable experiences at the range?
Hunting Experience: For those who’ve used it for hunting, how has it held up? What kind of game have you taken with it?
Comparison with Other Rifles: How does it stack up against other rifles in the same category? Any specific models you would compare it to?
Ammunition: What cartridges have you found work best with this rifle?
Overall Build and Features:
I’ve done some initial research, and I know that the Remington 700 is known for its sturdy build and reliability. The AAC SD version has some added features that seem appealing for both target shooting and hunting.
Questions:
Does the factory trigger need to be replaced for improved performance?
What about aftermarket upgrades? Are there any recommended accessories for it?
I appreciate any feedback or insights you can provide. It would really help me make a more informed decision on whether to go for this rifle. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
I’ve had my Remington 700 AAC SD in 6.5 Creedmoor for about a year now, and I’ve been really impressed with its accuracy. It consistently delivers tight groups at the range, even in windy conditions.
I recently took my 700 AAC SD on a deer hunt, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is with a suppressor. The accuracy at 300 yards was stellar, even with a little cold weather.
Accuracy is great, but I’ve found the stock could be better. It’s a bit flimsy, and I’ve heard others mention that too. Has anyone upgraded their stock for better performance?
Overall, it’s a solid rifle for the price. You can definitely find more expensive options with more features, but as a starter rifle, it’s hard to beat the 700 AAC SD.
I haven’t gone past 800 yards, but it held its group well at that distance with good ammo. I can’t imagine pushing it to 1,000 without some serious wind adjustments though.
While I laugh at the concept of fads in calibers, I think the Creedmoor delivers a great mix of accuracy and manageable recoil, making it ideal for many shooters.
Just remember: every rifle and shooter is different. The 700 AAC SD might not be the best for everyone, but it’s definitely worth giving it a try if you’re considering a new rifle.
I’ve worked on a Remington 700 AAC SD in 6.5 Creedmoor and found it to be incredibly versatile. You can easily swap out the barrel and customize the stock for a better fit. It’s a great platform for modifications!
I’ve found that upgrading the trigger is one of the best modifications you can make. It really enhances the overall shooting experience and increases accuracy.
