I’ve had some fun sessions at the range with my 10/22! However, I did have a couple of jams, but they were rare.

Interesting! Not sure if that would deter me, though. I heard a lot depends on the ammo used. What do you guys recommend?

For sure, ammo choice is key! I’ve had great results with CCI Mini-Mags. They tend to feed reliably in my 10/22.

I’ve seen folks use the Ruger 10/22 for competitions. With some tweaks, like better sights and a trigger upgrade, it performs wonderfully!

Sounds promising! But are the upgrades expensive? I’m on a tight budget right now.

It depends on what you go for, but a basic trigger upgrade isn’t too pricey and can make a noticeable difference! Definitely worth considering.

I highly recommend a good scope! A quality optic can greatly enhance your shooting experience. I’ve had great success with Vortex and Leupold optics on my 10/22.

Another common upgrade is a high-capacity magazine. I switched to a 25-round magazine, and it made a world of difference at the range! Just make sure it’s reliable, though.

Great point! I’ve seen people use 50-round drums too, but they can be a bit finicky. How do you like shooting with the 25-rounder?

While I agree with the magazine upgrades, don’t forget about a new barrel! I swapped mine for a match-grade barrel and noticed a significant improvement in accuracy, especially at longer distances.
