Looking for the Best Light for my Glock 45 - Recommendations?

Installation is pretty straightforward with the PL-Mini 2! Just ensure you have proper alignment on the rail. I’ve had no issues with mine so far.

I use a Surefire X300 Ultra. It’s solid but a bit heavier. Just know that not all holsters accommodate the thicker lights, so check before buying.

Good point about holster compatibility! Does anyone have suggestions for holsters that work well with larger lights?

I recommend the Bravo Concealment holsters. They have options specifically made for lights like the X300, and they fit snugly yet comfortably.

I’ve been looking for easy installation options too. Any lightweight recommendations? I prefer something that doesn’t add too much bulk.

The Streamlight TLR-6 might be a good fit for you, carnold. It’s lightweight and designed specifically for Glocks, providing a sleek profile.

Anyone tried mounting options that don’t interfere with the slide? I worry about operation with lights that protrude too much.

That’s a valid concern, ehudson. The TLR-7 and other low-profile lights often avoid that issue. Just make sure to check clearance on your specific holster too.

Honestly, all these options are making me feel a bit overwhelmed! Maybe I should just stick to iron sights?

I feel you! Just think of it as a fun challenge - you get to find out what fits you best. Plus, it’s great to have variety!

I recently got the Streamlight TLR-7A for my Glock 45. It’s incredibly durable, water-resistant, and has withstood a few drops during training. Battery life is excellent, around 1.5 hours on maximum brightness.

Sounds great, but how does it compare to the SureFire X300 when it comes to impact resistance?

I’ve used the SureFire X300 for years. It feels sturdier than most lights on the market, and the battery life is decent. Water resistance is top-notch too, but it’s slightly bulkier than the TLR-7A.

Good to know! I’m curious, how easy is it to find replacement batteries for the SureFire?

Replacement batteries for SureFire are pretty common; you can find them at most gun stores or online. Just remember, consistent maintenance is key with any tactical light.

I tried the Olight PL-Mini, and while it’s compact and easy to mount, I’ve heard mixed reviews about its water resistance. It’s lightweight, but I’m not sure how that impacts its durability.

Interesting, I’ve had my doubts about Olight too. Has anyone had any issues with its performance in adverse weather?

I’ve used the Olight in rain without any issues, personally. But I wouldn’t rely on it as my primary choice for durability. The TLR-7A seems preferable based on feedback.

That sounds promising! Does the Olight have decent battery life too? How does it hold up under heavy use?

Battery life is decent, about an hour on the highest setting, but it drains faster with frequent usage. Regular maintenance is also important.
