I love my Kydex holster too! The snap retention feature is a game changer during active use.
Is there a significant difference in retention between leather and Kydex? I’m wondering which one would be more secure for everyday carry.
I’ve noticed that Kydex holsters provide a more adjustable fit, which can be a big advantage for retaining your firearm. Definitely worth considering.
Retention is key! I switched to a Kydex holster for my CZ 75B after experiencing issues with my leather one. So much more reliable!
Exactly! And while they are affordable, I don’t trust them for serious use. Safety first!
I’ve only used leather and Kydex. Leather feels good but doesn’t hold up to moisture. Kydex, though, is super durable in any weather!
I felt like a cowboy with my leather holster, but it weighs more. Kydex is good, but does anyone else miss that classic look?
I think each material serves its purpose differently. Kydex for outdoor adventures, leather for a night out. Why not have both?
Moisture is definitely a concern! I always make sure to treat my leather holster to keep it in top shape.
It might sound odd, but I find putting my CZ in different holsters kind of fun. Like a wardrobe change for my gun!
For those using nylon, make sure you look for reinforced sections. Not all nylon is created equal! Some can be very flimsy.
Indeed! A good combo could save you in different situations. I’m all for versatility!
I’m really happy with my Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.5. It’s super comfortable for all-day carry and offers great concealment without sacrificing access. Highly recommend it!
I agree! The modularity of the Alien Gear holsters is impressive. You can adjust the retention which can be a game-changer in different situations.
I tried a Galco KingTuk and while it works fine, it felt a bit bulky for my taste. It’s good for a casual day out but not the best for long wear.
That’s interesting! I’ve had the opposite experience. The bulk helps with stability, but I guess it’s all about personal preference.
You guys should check out the Blackhawk Serpa! It keeps the gun in place very well. Just remember to practice the draw a bit before relying on it in the field.
I second the Blackhawk! It’s durable and secure, but I found that it was a bit slow for the draw during training sessions. Still, it’s a solid choice for the CZ 75B.
I’m leaning towards an outside-the-waistband holster. Any suggestions? I just want something that doesn’t print too much.
Have you looked into the OWB from Safariland? It’s nice and slim, keeps everything under wraps.
