Looking for S&W Shield Plus Review - Thoughts?

I’ve carried it for long hours, and honestly, I hardly notice it! The weight distribution is quite balanced. It’s one of the reasons I love it for daily carry.

The S&W Shield Plus is one of those guns that feels ‘just right.’ Even when carrying for extended periods, it doesn’t dig into my side or feel cumbersome at all.

I’ve noticed the ergonomic design can be a bit subjective. Some friends find it perfect, while others think it feels a bit too slim. What are your thoughts?

That’s true! I’m curious if anyone here has changed grips or added any modifications to improve comfort.

I’ve swapped out the grip with a Hogue wrap. It adds a bit more heft but feels much more comfortable to hold, especially for extended shooting.

That’s a great tip! I’m pondering that myself. Do you think it impacts accuracy at all?

I don’t think it affects accuracy negatively, but it does offer a more personalized feel, which could lead to better control for some shooters. Trying it with and without could be insightful!

I’ll chime in with a humorous note: if the grip is too slim, I might drop it! But seriously, it feels secure in my hands without being too chunky. Just right!

A lot of these comments resonate with me. It’s refreshing to hear everyone’s experiences with the Shield Plus — a lot of variety but mostly positive feedback!

I’ve had my S&W Shield Plus for a few months now, and I really appreciate its compact size. The Glock 19 is a great option as well, but it feels bulkier to me. Anyone else feel that way?

Definitely! The Shield Plus has a slim profile that’s perfect for concealed carry. The P365 also offers good capacity in a small frame. How do you find the grip on the Shield compared to the Glock?

I prefer the Sig P365 for its optics-ready option and excellent trigger. The Shield Plus is great too, but the P365 edges out in terms of technology, in my opinion.

The grip on the Shield Plus feels fantastic. It has a really nice texture that gives you confidence. Glock’s grip angle is a strong point for many though. Just depends on preference!

I think people choose the Glock 19 for its reliability and aftermarket support. It’s tough to compete with that reputation! What features do you find most important when selecting a firearm?

The S&W Shield Plus has a great trigger right out of the box! Much better than the stock Glock trigger. If trigger feel is critical for you, that might sway your decision.

Honestly, it’s all about concealing comfortably for me. If I can’t carry it daily, then what’s the point? The Shield Plus wins here.

If you want me to be contentious, the P365 just feels like a toy in comparison to the Shield Plus and Glock 19. Guess everyone has different tastes!

True, but I still think the P365’s capacity is impressive. It holds 10+1 and is still super compact. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but I love it.

The Shield Plus does have a great capacity for its size, though, at 13+1. If you prioritize capacity without bulk, it’s hard to argue against it!

I agree! Plus, its price point is better than many competitors. What do you think about the value for money for each of these models?
