I recently got a USFA ZiP .22LR pistol, and the accuracy is surprisingly good for a pistol in this price range. I’ve found that at 15 yards, it consistently hits the target.
That’s great to hear! How does it handle during rapid fire? Does it stay steady?
I would say that handling is really smooth. It feels lightweight, which made it easy to manage. I didn’t notice much recoil either.
That’s awesome! What about reliability? Have any of you experienced any jams?

I’ve shot it in various conditions—rain and shine—and have had no issues with jams. It feels quite reliable overall.

Does it perform well with all types of ammo? I’ve heard some .22LR pistols are picky about ammunition.
I’ve tried several brands, and it seems to function well with all. No particular preferences needed! It’s nice not to worry about that.
Nice! How’s the grip? Does it feel comfortable?
The grip is quite comfortable and fits nicely in my hand. I’ve found it doesn’t slip, even when my hands are a bit sweaty.
That’s definitely a plus! For indoor training, how does it fare?
I’ve done some indoor training, and it works like a charm! It’s quiet enough that I can practice without disturbing anyone.

But I’ve seen some mixed views on its construction quality. Some people say it feels a bit ‘plastic-y’. Anyone else feel that way?
Sure, it has a different feel than metal pistols. But honestly, I’ve found it durable enough for regular use! I’d say it performs well overall.
I’ve owned the USFA ZiP for about a year now. It’s lightweight, which is great for extended shooting sessions. However, I’ve found it to be a bit finicky with certain types of ammo, so that’s something to consider.

I completely agree! I love its lightweight design too. Makes it so easy to carry around. Have you tried suppressing it? It reduces the noise significantly!
The ZiP is a fun little pistol, but honestly, I had some jams when I first started using it. I found that it works best with high-velocity ammo.
Good tip, Michael! What’s the highest round count you’ve achieved at once? I’m curious if it improves with more use.
I’ve had my ZiP for a few months and have shot over 600 rounds without much issue, aside from an occasional FTE. The grip is comfortable, but it feels a little cheap compared to other guns out there.
I love mine! It’s super easy to handle and perfect for beginners. Just make sure you clean it regularly to avoid problems.
