Looking for Opinions on the Bianchi Model 59 Special Agent Holster

I’ve been doing some research on the Bianchi Model 59 Special Agent holster, and I’m really interested in hearing what you all think about it. I’m considering purchasing one, but I want to make sure it’s the right fit for my needs.

What to Consider

When evaluating this holster, here are some factors I’m particularly focused on:

  • Fit and Comfort: How does it feel when worn for extended periods? Is it adjustable?
  • Retention: Does it hold the firearm securely? Any experiences with drawing quickly?
  • Material Quality: Is the leather durable? Does it age well over time?
  • Concealment: For those who use it for concealed carry, how effective is it at hiding the firearm?

I’ve been using the Bianchi Model 59 Special Agent holster for about a year now, and overall, I find it very comfortable. It fits snugly and holds the firearm securely, even during physical activities.

That’s great to hear! I’ve been considering how well it performs in summer heat. Does it stay comfortable when worn for long periods?

In my experience, the holster does breathe fairly well. I’ve used it at the range in high heat, and it’s manageable. Just make sure to choose the right clothing to pair with it!

I had a different experience during a recent training session in the rain. The holster performed decently, but the leather absorbed some water, making it heavier. Just keep it treated for better performance.

That’s a good point! I wonder if anyone else has had issues with wet weather. How does it handle mud or dirt?

Mud and dirt are no problem if you clean it afterward. I’ve used it in various terrains, and as long as you maintain it, it holds up well. It just requires a bit of care.

Does anyone else find that the holster retains its shape well after frequent use? I’m curious if it breaks in after a while or if it stays quite stiff.

After some months, mine definitely broke in. It became a lot easier to draw the weapon smoothly. Initially, it felt a bit stiff, but now it’s perfect for quick access.

How quick is that draw? I’ve been looking for a holster where I can get an instant grip on my firearm.

It’s pretty quick! The design allows for a natural draw motion, and no snags if you practice a bit. Just make sure to find the right position on your belt.

I’ve read mixed reviews on the retention level. Some find it too loose for their preference. What’s everyone’s take on that?

I actually prefer a bit of looseness. It helps with drawing faster. Plus, it doesn’t feel overbearing when I wear it.

I think there’s a sweet spot with retention. Too tight can be a hassle, especially in heat! It’s all about personal preference, I’d say.

I’ve been using the Bianchi Model 59 Special Agent for a few months now. It’s lightweight and very comfortable. Compared to the Bianchi 5 Black Widow, I find the Model 59 offers better concealment.

I totally agree, the 59 Special Agent is designed for comfort. It’s also more affordable than the Bianchi 7 Shadow II, which is a big plus!

Can someone explain how the retention on the Model 59 compares to other models? I’m considering it but need to know if it’s secure enough for everyday use.

The retention is solid! I haven’t experienced any issues, unlike the Bianchi 7 Holster, which sometimes feels loose after wearing for a long time.

That’s interesting, @megan37! What do you think about the ease of draw with the 59? I’ve heard mixed reviews about some of the other Bianchi models.

I’ve found the draw to be quick and smooth with the Model 59. It’s much better than the Bianchi 5 holster in my experience, which can be a bit stiff.
