Can I safely shoot .223 out of a 5.56 chamber?

I’ve shot remanufactured rounds from a local source. No issues so far, but I keep an eye on performance. It’s hit or miss, I’d say.

That’s reassuring. Maybe I should give them a try on my next range day! Which brands are you using?

I’ve mainly used UMC for remanufactured, works tolerably well. But occasionally, you get that odd miss or hiccup. It’s always good to double-check your firearm afterward.

Definitely! Gotta keep our gear in check. All in all, .223 in a 5.56 is usually fine if you pay attention to the ammunition you’re using.
