BCM MK2 Buffer System Performance - Seeking Insights!

I think we’re over-analyzing this! At the end of the day, it’s about what feels right for you. I’ve tried a few systems, and I keep going back to BCM for the balance.

Haha, I’m with you on that! Sometimes, it’s just about the feel. And if it helps us shoot better, then I’m happy! What’s the downside?

Has anyone experienced cycling issues with the BCM MK2 buffer system? I’ve had some failures during rapid fire sequences. Any insights would be appreciated!

I had similar issues! It turned out to be a lubrication problem. Make sure you’re using the right grease on the bolt carrier group.

You’ll definitely want to check the spring tension. I found that too much tension can cause cycling issues. The BCM system is usually robust, but setups can vary.

Thanks for the tips! I will check both the grease and the spring tension. Has anyone else had problems with wear and tear?

Absolutely! My BCM MK2 buffer has some noticeable wear after just a few hundred rounds. I swapped it out for an H2 buffer, and it made a huge difference!

If you’re concerned about durability, consider upgrading to a heavier buffer. It helps absorb recoil better and can reduce wear on parts.

What about compatibility? I’ve heard mixed opinions about the BCM MK2 with certain gas systems. Thoughts?

I’ve got a standard carbine length gas system and it works perfectly with my BCM MK2. Maybe it’s the gas port size that causes issues!

I’m curious, how long do you guys expect these systems to last before major maintenance? I want to make sure I’m on top of things before minor issues become big.

I think with proper care they can last for thousands of rounds! Just keep things clean and lubricated. But don’t hold me to that… I actually lost count at 500! Haha.

It’s always best to clean thoroughly after a day at the range. The BCM MK2 is great, but cleanliness is key! How do people feel about using solvents?
