Anyone Tried the Ruger 10/22 BX Trigger? Let's Talk Performance!

Introduction

I’ve been considering upgrading my Ruger 10/22 and the BX trigger has caught my eye. I’m looking for some detailed feedback from anyone who’s installed it.

Performance

  • Smoother Pull: One of the main points I’ve heard is how the BX trigger provides a much smoother trigger pull compared to the factory option. Can anyone share their experiences?
  • Weight of Trigger Pull: What’s your experience with the pull weight? I’ve heard it can be around 2.5 to 3.0 lbs, which is reportedly great for precision shooting.

Installation

  • Complexity: How easy is the installation? I’m decent at DIY projects but don’t want to end up with a complicated installation process.
  • Tools Needed: Are there any special tools required for the installation that could be a dealbreaker?

Usability

  • Impact on Accuracy: Has anyone noticed a significant improvement in accuracy with the BX trigger? I’m particularly interested in how it affects follow-up shots and shot groupings.
  • General Feel: How does it feel in actual shooting scenarios? I’m aiming for a wholesome shooting experience rather than just specifications.

Overall Satisfaction

  • Would You Recommend It? After using the BX trigger, would you recommend it to others who own a Ruger 10/22? What are the pros and cons you’ve picked up on?
  • Comparison with Other Triggers: How does it stack up against other aftermarket triggers? I want to make an informed decision and hear firsthand knowledge is invaluable.

Conclusion

I appreciate any insights you all can share on the Ruger 10/22 BX trigger. I’m interested in a well-rounded view so I can make my purchasing decision confidently! Looking forward to your feedback!

I’ve had the Ruger 10/22 BX Trigger for a few months now, and the pull weight is noticeably lighter than the stock trigger. It really improves accuracy for me.

That’s great to hear! How about the reset time? I’ve read that it’s pretty snappy, which is a plus for fast shooting.

The reset time is indeed fantastic! It feels almost instantaneous, making follow-up shots much easier. Way better than a stock trigger, for sure!

That’s music to my ears! I’ve been debating between this and other aftermarket options. Any thoughts?

I’ve tried a few aftermarket triggers, but the BX Trigger gives a nice balance of performance without being too expensive. Definitely my top choice right now!

I agree with charles65! The BX Trigger’s performance is impressive for the price, but has anyone had issues with installation? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

Installation was a breeze for me. Just follow the instructions carefully. If you’re handy, it should be no problem at all!

Thanks for the tip! I’m looking forward to the upgrade. What’s the overall shooting experience like?

The overall shooting experience is a total game changer! It feels more responsive, and my accuracy has improved dramatically—definitely worth it!

I can’t help but chuckle; it almost makes my old stock trigger seem like a hose clamp! Seriously, it’s that much better.

Haha, that’s a great analogy! But does it really perform better than some higher-end options?

Honestly, while it’s not a match trigger, the BX Trigger provides excellent performance for the casual shooter. I’d say it’s a great value!

What about the durability? Has anyone experienced wear or issues after a few hundred rounds?

So far, no issues with durability on my end! I’ve put a couple of thousand rounds through and it still feels solid.

I recently installed the Ruger 10/22 BX trigger, and it was straightforward. The hardest part for me was getting the pins out, but a brass punch helped a lot.

I totally agree! I found that using a little bit of penetrating oil made a big difference. Those pins can be stubborn!

Great tips, both of you! I just installed mine last week. I also used a small rubber mallet to tap the pins out without damaging them.

I had a bit of a scare with mine. The springs flew out when I removed the old trigger. Lesson learned: cover your workspace before starting!

Haha, been there! I implemented a ‘spring-catching’ cloth after that incident. It saved me some time!
