I’ve used Sellier & Bellot ammo in both my Glock and my AR-15. It’s been quite reliable for target shooting, and I’ve experienced very few misfires. Overall, I give it a thumbs up for cost-effective practice.

I totally agree! I also found it performs well in my Springfield. Accuracy has been solid, especially for the price.

I’ve only tried Sellier & Bellot in my hunting rifle, and frankly, I was underwhelmed. It was okay, but I had a few failures to eject. Maybe it just doesn’t match with my setup.

That’s weird! I wonder if it could be your rifle’s chamber. I’ve never had an issue, must be a compatibility thing!

I’ve heard mixed reviews on Sellier & Bellot. Some say they’re great for range training, but others recommend sticking to premium brands for serious situations. Any thoughts on that?

It really depends on what you’re using it for! While I had good experience on the range, I agree that for self-defense, go with what you trust most.

I’ve shot Sellier & Bellot in multiple calibers, and honestly, it shoots nicely! The magnum loads are a blast. Though I did notice it can be a bit dirty, but that’s minor for me.

I laughed at the dirty part, @walshpatricia! I totally relate. Once I had to clean my rifle double time after a session. Performance-wise though, I had good precision with my handguns.

Does anyone know if the performance of Sellier & Bellot varies by lot? I bought some recently, and it felt markedly less consistent than what I had before.

I had a similar feeling with my last batch! It seems to fluctuate. Still love the price, but wish they’d be more consistent.

I’ve used Sellier & Bellot ammo for a few years now. It’s great quality for the price. Honestly, I find it performs on par with Federal and Winchester in most standard use cases.

Interesting! I’ve often found that availability can be a bit hit or miss, especially compared to Remington. Anyone else faced similar issues?

I agree with you, matthewconley. Availability is key. But when I do find Sellier & Bellot, the price usually beats Remington hands down, which is a big plus for me!

In my experience, Sellier & Bellot works well for target shooting. Its consistency rivals that of Winchester. I wouldn’t use it for home defense though; I stick to Federal for that.

I wonder if anyone has tried using Sellier & Bellot in colder weather. How does it perform compared to other brands like Remington?

That’s a good question! I’ve only tested it in moderate conditions, but I’m curious if the performance changes.

From my experience, Sellier & Bellot ammo is typically cheaper than Federal while maintaining good accuracy, which is vital for my shooting practice.

Absolutely! Every dollar saved on practice rounds is a win in my book. What’s your go-to caliber?

I’ve had mixed results with Sellier & Bellot. Sometimes the rounds jam, unlike the more reliable Remington. Has anyone else experienced this?
