Got robbed & then beaten for no reason. Got my Georgia Firarms License. Now I keep a pistol under my desk & one in my pocket. Won't let it happen again. Better to prevent the FIRST attack. It seems more 'ok' to the general public to have been raped or assaulted, and THEN reacted by getting a gun (always going through lots of formal training like it's as hard as flying an airplane or something, and OF COURSE having to have the local police approve, as if THEY are somehow Gods). I tend to advocate getting the gun FIRST, but I guess It's just my "preventative medicine" instinct kicking in. A. I am a female about ready to leave my second tour in the Army. Saw nasty stuff in the war. I keep a firearm with me now, and I will keep one with me in my civilian life. Beth should be glad that all she got was a few bruses & and a black eye. Most women don't think about what can really happen to them until it is too late. It is no fluke that they call a gun the 'equalizer'. In my case, it is a .40 caliber 'equalizer'.
