Although this article may not deal directly with guns, in a way it does.  Toby Keith wrote a patriotic song based on his father and the current environment in America.  The lyrics are patriotic, and sometimes a little bit off color to some people.  Not too many Americans, but some people who are not American citizens.  We now bring into the picture a prime time anchor person for our national news.  Peter Jennings is the person who felt that Topy Keith's song was too outspoken for the "American people".  Well if your going to make a statement like this, you should be an American citizen.  If you are not, you should keep your mouth shut!  Although the network [ABC], has said that the song that Toby Keith was suppose to sing, was never scheduled for the July 4th television show "In Search Of America", this is not what Toby Keith has in his paper trail.  Who would you believe Toby Keith or Peter Jennings who is not even an American citizen?  Toby Keith was replaced by Hank Williams and another patriotic song.  The lyrics of Hank Williams song are tamed down compared Toby Keith's song.  The lyrics "put a boot up your ass" are not in the song by Hank Williams.

Look at the history of Mr. Jennings.  When  gun incidents occur, he seems to slant the way the story is aired.  As in this incident with Toby Keith, those in the media seem to want the American people see things the way the networks want them to see it.   Lets hope that sooner or later, the American networks especially ABC can find a young American citizen who can speak to the American public in a manner that the American citizen can relate to.  In the case of Peter Jennings, he just doesn't seem to get it.   Nor does ABC!
